words. You're more lenient than I would be. As my Friday
note stated, major revisions are in the wind.

You are continuing to be an excellent mind-reader

1. yes title change should happen: had been thinking of
something like "anatomy of a lang." --you then mention anatomy.

2. yes i've been thinking about the problem of an instructor
trying to teach from a book with a "strong ppersonality".. that
could be quite difficult for many people. I do plan to tone
down some of it. but given the options of (1) a book which will
not offend a teacher v.s.(2) a book which the students can  use
independently, i'll bet on the student.. particularly based on
past peformance of the teaching "profession".

3. about editing...i plan a large section on how programming
should be done.. this will indeed include editors which support
good programming style.. i'm trying to get a "proposal" together
on just how to do this... perhaps i'll attempt to  expose
myself to the rapers ... tentative title "Treasoning about Programs".
